The trip started on October 01, 2022 under the guidance of Respected Principal ma’am Geeta Somasekharan, ma’am Pratibha Nair and ma’am Mahima Saxena. The objective of this trip was to cherish the vivid and dynamic history of the country that young generations might neglect. This trip was all about leaning and understanding through experiential and vocational learning.

We arrived at approx. 7:30 in morning in the school campus. We left for Bhimbetka at 8:00 in AC deluxe bus. Bhimbetka is an UNESCO world heritage site. It is surrounded by the northern fringe of the Vindhyan ranges, Bhimbetka lies 76km south of Bhopal. The superimposition of the painting shows that the same canvas was used by different people at different times. The drawings and paintings are classified under 7 different periods: – Upper Palaeolithic, Mesolithic, Chalcolithic, early historic, Medieval. These caves were formed by Narmada River. We could see the vivid and beautiful  scenery around. The guide told us about the historical aspect of the place. Then we left for Bhojpur where we got blessing of lord Shiva. Bhojpur founded by the legendary Parmar king of Dhar Raja Bhoj and named after him. Bhojpur 28km from Bhopal, it is known as the Somnath of the east. After seeking the blessing, we started our journey to our resort in Sanchi. At gateway retreat we got our dinner done. After freshing up, we had a Garba party and then after having some fun, we rested at night since we had an exciting day ahead.

Next day on October 02, 2022 in the morning, we had a swimming session. After that at 09:00 we got breakfast done. Then we left for Sanchi Stupa. Stupas, monasteries, temples and pillars dating from the 3rd century to the 12th century AD have been declared a world heritage site by UNESCO. There we saw Great Stupa, four gateways, the buddha, according to the tenets of early Buddhist art is portrayed in symbols. The lotus representing his built, the tree his enlightenment, the wheel derived from the title of his first sermon, the footprints and throne symbolising his presence, we saw the Ashoka pillar, the Buddhist Vihara, The Great bowl and the Gupta temple.

We also went to the museum which was very informative and rich with culture. We shared extra and precious information with 11thies.

The sight was worth- watching. We then went back to the hotel and then got our lunch done. After that we checked out from the hotel and left for Indore. We had a lot of moments that we will cherish throughout our lives. It was once in a lifetime opportunity. Our trip came to an end at 8:00 when our parents came to pick us.

The whole trip taught us many things which books might fail to teach. It was experiential learning which is need of the hour.
