Assessment is an integral part of the teaching learning process. To ensure the effectiveness of learners’ educational experience the assessment of students follows Continuous and Compressive Evaluation (CCE). It intends to provide a holistic profile of the learner, through assessment of both scholastic and co- scholastic aspects of education over the total span of instructional time in school.

Recognizing the needs of 21st century Queens focusses on development of skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, and creativity in the learners to prepare them for the new world of work. Therefore, with changing times it is no longer enough to have memory-based assessments that only test content recollection.

Tools of Assessment consist of Formative and Summative Assessments. The formative assessments include Portfolio, Journals and Notebook upkeep andsubject enrichment activities aligned with the curriculum. These are aimed at the improvement of understanding and skill development including models, diagrammatic representation, and Aural Comprehension.

Summative Assessment includes MCQ and Pen – Paper Test to encourage in students skills of observation and presentation.

Secondary & Sr. Secondary Wing

In sync with the new National Policy 2020 multiple assessment strategies are adopted to direct the students towards academic excellence. A well-planned system of evaluation enables the students to achieve objectives of learning and helps them to take up their learning graph higher. Students receive immediate feedback after active participation in various events. These are embedded carefully in day-to-day classroom transactions. They include AUMS, Portfolio, Practical, Project work, Art integration and other skill-based activities that are continuously evolving. The pedagogy involves boosting their critical thinking and sharpening analytical/problem solving skills. It thereby empowers them to demonstrate their abilities and knowledge application in areas other than summative exams.

Summative assessments include Periodic Tests followed by Term End Exams that are conducted to bring greater synergy in learners, thereby preparing them for higher education.
