State Rollball League Tournament

The spirit of competition and athleticism was in full swing as students of Queens College made a remarkable mark in the 2nd Madhya Pradesh State Rollball League Tournament.
Representing Queens College under the banner of “Team K L R,” Insiya Hotelwala’s exceptional performance on the rollball court earned her the coveted gold medal, accompanied by a cash prize of ₹5,000, a splendid trophy, and a certificate. As a part of “Team Aradhya” Amolpreet Kaur Maan and Urooj Belim secured the bronze medal. Their achievement was further celebrated with a memento, a cash prize of ₹1,600, and a well-deserved certificate. Anushka Nagrani’s participation in the tournament was met with praise as she received a memento and a certificate for her dedication to the sport.
The achievements of our students under the able guidance of Deepali Gehlot, reflect not only their dedication but also the commitment of Queens College to nurturing well-rounded individuals with a passion for sports and excellence.

Queens’ College organized Inter-School Aquatic Championship

‘Dive in and unleash greatness’——Queens’ College organized Inter -School Aquatic Championship on August 26,2023 which was a remarkable display of skill, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among the participating schools. The event saw an impressive turnout of young athletes from 15 schools of Indore, all competing fiercely in a range of swimming events. The event was graced by the presence of Sir Mir Ranjan Negi a distinguished Indian Hockey Star whose life is featured in movie Chakde India. The championship’s inauguration was marked by the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge, wisdom, and prosperity. Dignitaries, athletes, and spectators gathered in an aura of reverence as the lamp’s flames flickered to life, casting a warm glow that set the stage for the competition ahead.

The opening ceremony commenced with a mesmerizing orchestral performance that left the audience in awe. A talented group of musicians, complete with string instruments, wind instruments, and percussions, came together to create a symphony of melodies. The event was officially declared open with a resounding declaration and oath ceremony. The pool was witness to intense competition as swimmers from different age groups showcased their prowess in various swimming styles. Freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and relay events were part of the lineup, offering a comprehensive display of skills. The races were marked by fierce competition, as swimmers pushed themselves to their limits in pursuit of victory. The relay races added an extra layer of excitement to the tournament. The cheering from the sidelines reached a crescendo as the swimmers gave their all in these events, aiming to secure points for their respective schools.

The winners of various events were awarded medals and certificates, recognizing their exceptional skills and efforts. However, the most anticipated moment of the ceremony was the announcement of the championship trophy. The trophy was awarded to QUEENS’ COLLEGE, INDORE accumulated the highest number of points based on their athletes’ performances across all events. The first runner up team was Delhi Public School and second runner up team was The Shishukunj International, Indore.

Principal Ms. Geetha Somasekharan congratulated all the schools and emphasized on the holistic importance of sports in education and character development. The event’s success was a result of meticulous planning, dedicated participants, and the collaborative efforts of all involved. The event came to a close with participants carrying the memories of both victories and personal growth, proving that these championships are more than just contests – they are experiences that shape lives.

Heartiest Congratulations to Aarna Gupta of class V A for demonstrating beautiful yoga poses and winning the best performance award in Sahodaya Samagam – Yogasana competition Aarna displayed Yoga poses such as Baddha Padmasana, Purn Bhujangasana, Garudasana as well as Bakasana with utmost poise and perfection. She won the hearts of judges with her immense flexibility in aasanas and was appreciation by one and all.

Queens' College Wins 5 Gold Medals in National Roller Basketball

Roller Basketball Federation-India organized Roller Basketball National Championship which was held from 27th to 29th Dec 2019. Championship was held at Punjab University, Chandigarh where our students represented Madhya Pradesh State team and bagged five gold medals in different age categories under 14 and under 17 girls.

65th SGFI Roll Ball State Championship

10th october – 14th October’ 2019

Queens participated in 65th SGFI Roll Ball State Championship 2019 held at Mandsaur representing Indore division in MP State Championship from 10th -14th October’ 2019.

Ashi Patidar was awarded as the best player of the tournament.
Queens bagged 1st position in under-17 category, 2nd position in under- 19 Category and 3rd position in under-14 category.

SGFI- Swimming Competition

September 13th, 2019

Lakshita Tomar in U-19 category participated in 65th SGFI STATE LEVEL SWIMMING competition at Bhopal from date 13th September to 17th September 2019. She brought laurels to school in various events.

The details of events are-

1. Gold medal, first place in 4X100 meter free style relay.

2. Silver medal, second place in 50 meter butterfly stroke.

3. Silver medal, second place in 400 meter free style.

She is now selected to represent Madhya Pradesh National Swimming state team in the upcoming nationals 2019-20.
